Senior One Men 'Cobras'Coach: Dilip Lala and Bharat Unka
Following the successful introduction of a club development team last year the Cobra’s have again experienced an influx of new players wanting to progress their hockey to a higher level. Many of the players were recruited during a very successful summer hockey league which was organised and run by Dilip and Sangita Lala. The team this year is a mixture of core experienced players complimented by talented younger players. To ensure all players get maximum participation during the season placement in other teams has been required. Our start to the season has been inauspicious and this was found to be the case last year as players adjust to the rigours of men’s hockey. A major requirement from players has been to increase their fitness levels and speed to combat the experience and guile shown by their more experienced opponents. Early signs are encouraging and the ability to take the few scoring chances that have been created a bonus so early in the season. We look forward to building on this positive aspect during the season. |
